Chapter 275: She Is My Wife
Chapter 275: She Is My Wife
"Oh, a rare guest, indeed."
A man with burgundy-dyed hair walked out of a lavishly decorated house in front of the rose garden.
Seeing the two people at the door, his eyes suddenly lit up, and he quickly approached, speaking with a cheerful smile.
"Oh, got a little girlfriend?"
Owen King’s gaze fell on Holly Sawyer. He raised his eyebrows and spoke slowly.
Everyone in their group knows exactly what Leo Grant is like.
Leo Grant shook his head, "No."
"A sister?"
Owen King frowned, looking incredulously at Leo Grant.
In this world, anyone who stays by Leo Grant’s side is either a girlfriend or just a sister-like figure, right?
But he never heard that Leo Grant had a sister, as Leo was an only child.
However, with the Grant Family being so large, having a couple of cousins is normal.
"This is my wife."
Leo Grant wrapped his arm around Holly Sawyer’s shoulder, smiling as he answered the question.
Holly Sawyer is no longer his girlfriend; she is his wife.
Wife and girlfriend are two completely different concepts.
Owen King: "???!"
Damn, wife?
Did he miss some major information? How come he didn’t know Leo Grant was married?
"Haven’t you looked at the friend moments?"
Leo Grant shrugged and spoke nonchalantly.
He had posted Holly Sawyer on his friend moments a long time ago, and not just once.
"I’m on it every day."
Owen King was a bit bewildered, he answered.
He checks the friend moments every day and seemingly nothing major appeared to him.
Leo Grant remained silent, not speaking.
Owen King quickly took out his phone and opened Leo Grant’s moments, which left him dumbfounded after reading.
Leo Grant, who hardly ever posts on friend moments, had several posts lying there quietly, and they were all recent events.
Damn, damn, damn.
Help.
Owen King stared at a post he had already liked and fell into thought.
It was the post about the marriage certificate.
What was he thinking back then? He was just thinking about how yet another friend was getting married, while he was still stuck with the label of a single dog, unable to woo his goddess.
He just gave a like, and didn’t really think more of it. Of course, he didn’t carefully check whose moments he was looking at and then comfortably scrolled down to look at other posts.
Help, he actually missed such critical information. Oh heavens, this is too hard on him.
"Damn, this is beyond words."
Owen King couldn’t help but knocked his head, feeling quite stifled in his heart.
He clearly saw it, clearly liked it, but didn’t even realize the post was from Leo Grant.
"Let me officially introduce, this is my wife, Holly Sawyer."
"This is my friend Warren King, who recently returned from abroad, and studied forensic science."
Leo Grant introduced Warren King to Holly Sawyer.
"Hello, sister-in-law."
Warren King greeted Holly Sawyer politely.
Holly Sawyer nodded, "Hello."
"Sister-in-law, why do I feel you look a bit familiar?"
Warren King looked at Holly Sawyer, frowned slightly, and spoke with curiosity.
"Put away your flirtation tactics."
Leo Grant couldn’t help but give Warren King a kick and spoke coldly.
Thinking someone looks familiar is indeed an old flirting tactic.
"No, I really do think she looks familiar."
Warren King shook his head. He truly felt Holly Sawyer looked familiar.
Being Leo Grant’s woman, and already his wife, no matter what, he wouldn’t try to flirt with her; even if he had such thoughts, he wouldn’t dare.
Friends should not betray each other.
"Where do I look familiar?"
Holly Sawyer looked at Warren King and spoke softly.
"Just feels like I’ve seen you somewhere."
Warren King racked his brain for a while, but couldn’t think of anything.
He truly felt Holly Sawyer looked familiar, as if he had seen her somewhere.
The three quickly moved past this topic, and Warren King led Holly Sawyer and Leo Grant into his constructed "palace," which was magnificently furnished and looked quite elegant.
"You’ve set it up so fancy, I can barely afford to eat here."
Leo Grant said without joking, Rose Manor also served meals, akin to those rural family-style restaurants.
Upon entering, it feels like taking a step up, so much so that ordinary people walking in might really think they couldn’t afford it.
"You couldn’t afford it? Of anyone in the world saying they can’t afford it I’d believe, but when you say it, I really can’t believe it."
Warren King rolled his eyes at Leo Grant and spoke slowly.
Leo Grant is almost oozing wealth, how could he not afford it?
Tsk.
Holly Sawyer suddenly felt amused; Leo Grant’s friend seemed quite interesting.
"What do you want to eat? This meal is on the house from me."
Sitting at the dining table, Warren King handed the menu to Leo Grant.
Of course, he could have directly served Leo Grant their signature dishes, but thought it was better to let Leo Grant choose.
Preferences are personal, so it was better to let Leo Grant decide.
"Not too full to eat, right?"
Leo Grant raised an eyebrow and spoke softly.
"This is my place, do you think you can eat me poor?"
Warren King shot a glare at Leo Grant, as if asking what on earth he was talking about.
"It’s just that with your décor so refined, I worry about eating without paying; what if you can’t earn back the cost? If you can’t earn it back, wouldn’t you be at a loss? And if you’re at a loss, it would mean I could eat you poor."
Leo Grant spoke slowly, yet articulately.
He somewhat changes his personality before different people.
Warren King: "???"
Dammit, it’s like a tongue twister. If Holly Sawyer weren’t present, he’d really want to give Leo Grant a punch and just finish him off.
Holly Sawyer found it extremely funny.
"Order the dishes."
Leo Grant handed the menu to Holly Sawyer, speaking kindly.
"Let’s have one of each."
Holly Sawyer quickly glanced at the menu with a sweeping look before saying that.
There weren’t many dishes on the menu, nothing she disliked, so having one of everything didn’t seem a problem to Holly Sawyer.
She could finish it.
"Sister-in-law, are you sure?"
Warren King looked at Holly Sawyer and spoke slowly.
Holly Sawyer nodded, "Yes."
"Sister-in-law, wasting is shameful."
Warren King reminded her. He felt wasting food was a bad thing.
A lot of wealthy young ladies like to order a large table full of dishes when they go out to eat, then only take a few bites of each, leaving a lot of leftovers, resulting in wastage.
"No, I can finish it."
Holly Sawyer shook her head and said.
It’s not that much; she could finish it.
"It’s okay, we can finish it."
Leo Grant chimed in beside her.
Leo Grant knew her appetite well. He was genuinely curious about how Holly Sawyer’s stomach could accommodate so much food, given her small size.
Warren King didn’t say anything further, motioning for the staff to serve every dish on the menu.
He never imagined Holly Sawyer was serious about her statement and thought it was just something she said casually.
