Chapter 471: The Wedding

Lin Xuan Qi couldn’t think of what other businesses he should pursue next so he decided that in the worst case, maybe he could set up rice noodle eateries in the city.

After all, he already had the rice noodles and the Lin Clan Taste Transcendent Essence.

"You seem to be more worried than the groom." He said as he got up from the bed.

Xue Cong, who was checking on the clothes for the groom, turned around and gave him a frown.

"I just want to make sure that it would be perfect for Yue Xin and Shi Shi like it was for me and Yue Jie." She said and checked the sleeve of the groom’s clothes again.

Lin Xuan Qi felt blessed to have someone like her by his side and said, "I shall do whatever you say for the day."

Xue Cong rolled her eyes at him and brought the groom’s attire over to him, "Then the first thing you should do is to change into these."

"As you wish, Head Mistress of the Lin Clan." He said jokingly while Xue Cong helped him undress and change into the groom’s attire.

"How are Yue Xin and Shi Shi faring?" He asked while Xue Cong helped put on the shirt from behind.

Xue Cong buttoned the shirt and replied, "Yue Jie is helping them as we speak, don’t worry too much about it."

"That’s good to hear."

"Some of your friends and business partners have arrived with their gifts..." Xue Cong mumbled on as she put on the finishing touches on the groom’s attire.

"How do I look?" Lin Xuan Qi put his hand on her shoulder and asked.

But she shrugged him off and said, "You better hurry before the auspicious hour is gone."

Lin Xuan Qi raised an eyebrow at her reaction and thought that she was feeling jealous about what was happening after all.

It must have been difficult for her and he would find the time to compensate her soon.

He had to focus on the wedding for the time being.

The horse carriage was parked a distance away from the mansion and when it was time, Madam Sai started the ritual of saying auspicious words while they moved towards the mansion.

When they got to the gates of the mansion, friends like Hun Xiong Kun, Sima Long, Huo Fei Li, Lu Ting and Liu shao were gathered waiting for him to alight.

"I envy how brother Lin can have so many wives and concubines and they are so cordial with each other." Huo Fei Li sighed as he looked on with admiration.

Sima Long agreed with him but he dared not make any noise with Zhang Jie standing beside him.

Madam Sai walked over to the altar and began the ceremony.

"It’s time to offer prayers for the heavens and offer respect to the elders."

Lin Xuan Qi and Yue Xin offered incense to the heavens and then they turned around towards Liu Ju Zheng.

Cups of tea were handed over to Lin Xuan Qi and Yue Xin by the servant girls from the side.

Liu Ju Zheng didn’t have much to say and he nodded his head and took the teacup from Lin Xuan Qi and Yue Xin to have a sip.

"I declare you husband and concubine!" Madam Sai proclaimed loudly and everyone in the main hall cheered.

Yue Xin was then brought back to her room while the ceremony continued for Liu Shi Shi.

In contrast, Liu Shi Shi was looking much more demure and feminine than ever.

Even though the long skirt of the wedding gown covered her legs, Lin Xuan Qi could see that they were long and slender, taking up a larger proportion of her body than the others.

Madam Sai brought them together and walked over to the altar to continue the ceremony.
